#DIFhub18 Lessons Learned: Creative Tech

Where art extends off the canvas to engage and immerse.

How are visual artists integrating technology to enrich the experience of their work? Drawing on the strengths of both spheres of the brain, how do we honour the creative flow in the technical process?

How does the multidisciplinary process come together? As a collaboration between specialists, or extending our talents across the scope?

#DIFhub18 Deep Dive: Venue Tech

Technology touches every aspect of venue management. How can technology be integrated throughout the venue to engage and manage, audiences and crew? How has technology changed the audiovisual production process? And what opportunities does this bring to enriching the audience experience? Extending the audience beyond the walls, with the venue serving as a broadcasting production for virtual audiences?

As well as ticket sales and onsite purchases, venues rely on bookings from producers, presenters and performers. How are they found and how is the relationship managed?

The panel exploring perspectives on venue tech includes a venue, an audiovisual specialist and a festival manager.

#DIFhub18 Lunch ‘n’ Learn: Event Tech

How do we engage our ideal audience, inspiring their participation throughout the journey: from discover, anticipation, arrival, throughout, in the review and maintaining the relationship for an ongoing relationship.

More than attendance, it’s about participation. There are no longer spectators, as audiences expect to be engaged, a custom experience, shared with their tribe.

What is the opportunity there for crowdsourcing your content and marketing?

Event management is one of the most stressful jobs in the world. With so many moving parts and stakeholders, how can producers, presenters, performers and practitioners; keep track of and collectively deliver a smooth live experience for the participants?

Through technology:

  • Increase reach
  • Enhance engagements
  • Extend conversations
  • Drive sales
  • Measure everything
  • Amplify your brand
The panel consists of perspectives from a venue, a ticketing platform and a festival producer.
